Right across the historic lighthouse of Chania, which has been guarding the sea entrance since 1570, Palazzo al Mare is now located in a building that used to be a carpentry during 1890-1895. As you enjoy your lunch or dinner, make sure you take a look around and you will instantly understand that our restaurant is surrounded by a mixture of multicultural influences. The Venetian harbor, the Turkish Mosque Giali Tzamisi, the Byzantine walls of Castello and the endless blue of the Cretan sea compose the contemporary identity of Palazzo al Mare.

Ilias Sfakianakis was born in Crete and completed his cooking studies at Le Monde. Having a long experience in a series of significant Athenian restaurants, he is now creatively mixing 

his knowledge of gourmet cuisine with his Cretan roots, resulting in a flavorful menu full of interesting contradictions.
